This one blows me away...
I'm not a huge fan of numismatics, during the coming debt crisis, the premiums likely won't hold up. But I think there is some upside to the US Mint's limited mintage Platinum and Palladium products. And this years Proof Palladium coin is the first for the US Mint and with a mintage around 15,000 units worldwide, I don't mind the $350 premium I paid.
Demand for this coin was/is insane and all 15,000 or so sold out in 4.5 minutes and I was lucky to have gotten one.
This is truly a stunning high relief coin and its definitely one of my favorites. The thickness of this coin can't be understated. Its the thickest US mint coin I've ever seen.
The rear of the coin also has a stunning Eagle design.

That's a good looking box too although coins like this used to come in a wood box from the US Mint so this is the lower rent version. If I'm dropping $1,385 on a coin, at least give me some wood for crying out loud.
This one is going into deep storage...as soon as it comes back from NGC. I already sent it out to be graded...lets hope it comes back a PF70!!!
