I generally stopped buying silver bullion to concentrate on gold in about early 2017. I had become tired of buying premium proofs that once they inevitably had bothersome milkspots I would see their value tank over time.
One of the very last few pieces of premium proof silver I had was the 'Protection De La Nature' Silverline series from MCI International in Germany.
If I recall I picked them up for about £23-£25 which was pricey for an ounce, and got them out to have a check and was grateful to see no milky nonsense on them. I think I picked these up because I had good results on previous Rwanda coins that had limited mintage. Unfortuately I didn't continue the series, as my obsession with Gold grew.
These were limited mintages of around 5000-10000 so I was delighted to see when checking today that the selling price of these 2-3 years later is anything from £30 from a bullion dealer to £40 on Ebay.
Not every piece of semi-numismatic bullion from back then has worked out for me, the Canada Wildlife series was a bit of a nightmare to get rid of in the end. The value dropped and 50% of them got spots.
Does anyone else collect these, and is the interest still strong for later issues?
