Today we've got two more coins from around the world that contain silver. First is an 1861 decimo from Chile.
This phrase translates to "By Reason or Force". Seems like a logical national motto. Especially when you realize that it's in reference to Chile's struggle for independence from Spain.
The back side has some punches in it. But what I find interesting is that these don't actually go through to the other side. There's got to be a story there. I wish I know what it was.
Next we have an 1865 British shilling. Nothing too exciting here, but I just love old, worn coins. Especially silver ones.
