So I had no idea how I wanted to store my Silver as I started stacking things up. A cool desktop treasure chest might have been fun, but then I would have to dig for the piece I wanted, versus having it right at hand. So I thought a display case might be nice.
When I posted about getting a display case it was brought up that having the silver on display in such a fashion might be a bit of a security risk for me. So where to place it was a big question mark.
Well I decided to get the display case anyway...
Looks pretty sharp, though I need to clean the glass. This displays around half of my current stack, with the rest being in my Fire Security Box, that contains all the duplicates, including ten of my twelve 2018 STEEM Silver Rounds.
As far as placement.... Well I decided that I was displaying the silver for me, not for anyone else. So this hangs in my bedroom, which is off limits to 90% of the people who come in to the house anyway. So I can see it any time I want to and feel pretty confident it isn't going to disappear.
The case is lockable, but honestly, if anyone wanted to steal the rounds, breaking the glass is surely plenty easy. So I don't know that the key will ever get used.
I got a couple of heavy duty drywall anchors that are rated for up to 90 pounds, so I think I'm good on that front.
We'll see how it works out. For now, I'm pretty happy with it!
