Good afternoon. I happened to be in the safe this morning when this piece caught my eye. From a distance I thought it was a fractional bar until I got a closer look. It is a 1ozt A-Mark Brick or some call them Hershey bar. It has a unique shape and size and they are even stackable but we only have the one.
It was minted by U.S.V.I. Ingot Company in 1981. It measures 1 5/16” by 7/8” and its ¼” thick.
The front has the A-Mark logo in the center. In the background A-Mark, 999 Silver and 1 Oz Troy repeat.
The back has the weight prominently displayed near the top. The weight is in grams and Pure Silver Assay. Inside the circle is 193 S (lot number???). The mint name and the year 1981 are near the bottom.
I hope you liked this one as much as I did. Have a great rest of your day.
