Well I am starting to get into this daily 5, its getting kinda fun finding odd facts about silver. So lets get todays gimme 5 started.
- A single grain of silver (65mg) can be pressed into a sheet 150 times thinner then the average sheet of Paper.
- silvers melting point is 961.78 degrees C and its boiling point is 2162 degrees C
- King Henry II coined the first silver currency in England in 1158
- The lines on the rear window of a car that defrost ice, yep those are made from silver
- 9000 metric tons of silver is used by the photographic industry each year, thats almost half of the total silver mined annually.
Wow that last one is amazing, 9000 metric tons of silver used in photography, thats a lot of damn silver.
