All coins of this series weight 26.73g with 90% silver purity. They were issued in Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
They will be presented in the order they were minted.
This coin was minted in honor of James Madison and the Bill of Rights, which he authored.
The obverse design of the coin features a portrait of James Madison.
On the reverse features a view of his Virginia home, Montpelier. Interestingly, the design does not refer to the Bill of Rights.
A total of 534,001 coins were minted in Philadelphia. The issue price was U$29.00. The actual price is around U$460.00 in this grade.
