Finally after a long wait i have recieved the final release of the superb Elemetal Privateer silver round series, Davy Jones Locker is a fitting end to the 7 piece set. I am still missing the white whale which i need to pick up but there are just too many coins and rounds to tempt my meagre funds from my fluff filled pockets but it is on the shopping list.
The high relief is incredible and yhour eyes just sink into the image on this chunky 2oz beast. The original privateer round has a mintage of 70,344. The siren has 61,640 and the caprain has a total mintage of 66,839. I dont know the mintage figures for any of the others, if anyone knows please let me know.
The 6 i have are all snug in their velvet lined box awaiting the missing piece, there should be 8 in the series as 7 just doesn't go, it needs to be an even number, i did see a salavate metal vid showing off a missing round from this series that may or may not exist but i doubt i will seek one out as they will be mega expensive if i did find one and to be honest the whole point of stacking is to increse my wealth and not just buy overpriced items, hopefully one day my stack will appreciate in value to allow older Russell the little luxuries in life such as Worthers Originals, mint imperials and every now and then a bag of peppermint creams.
