The past few years I have found myself interested in other collectable markets. Knives, physical crypto coins, and NOW currency. Not sure what it is about notes and currency that has sparked my interest. Of course the history is a big factor. On top of that, it's the thought of how many hands has this note gone through? I have similar thoughts about old silver ingots. The cross over is pulling me in and I can't stop it..
I have been buying basic stuff. Silver certificates, two dollar bills, funny backs, and now black eagles. The black eagle silver certs are really cool. They have my attention right now. Check out what came in today. My most unique purchase thus far.
1899 $1 Black Eagle- Short Snorter. These were signed by groups during World War II.
This is the first one I have come across. I am no currency expert. I did some research on the short snorter notes and they are all unique in thier own way. Amazing pieces of history! This purchase opened my eyes a bit more to the currency world. These are the types of purchases that push people to dig deeper into the hobby. Sounds like fun to me!
