I have been coin roll hunting for a little while now. But Its really hard to find 2009 Nickels and Dimes.
Big deal right? Its not Silver just a clad coin right?
Wrong!
Yes these coins are clad, but May 1 of 2009 the us mint stopping minting circulating coins.
Mintage numbers for Nickels
39.36 Million Denver, 39.84 Philadelphia for a total of 79.29 million . The US Mint hasn’t had numbers this low for circulating Nickels since 1951, Wow!!!
What about the dime?
The mintage number for the dime was 49.50 million Denver and 96.50 Philadelphia. The last time the mintage was this low was 1955. Maybe I can go back with Doc and Marty and pick some rolls? Ok that was a stale joke..
