There ain't no such thing as a free lunch... - R. A. Heinlein
Buckle up for a little bit of a motivational/reality check post (for myself as much as anyone else)... This this is what is on my mind and has been for a few days...
Want more of this?
Work for it... Save up, find means to make extra cash... Do the work. Build a relationship with your local coin shop, maybe you'll be able to get better deals. Build relationships on Instagram or Steemit, often times people sell for close to or at spot on both platforms.
Want more/better upvotes, comments, and support for your posts?
Work for it... Post interesting content, engage with people, don't beg, don't whine about post payout discrepancies... Do the work.
Comment, share your thoughts on their posts and then craft your posts to encourage engagement. Don't get much response on one kind of post? Try something else, mix it up.
One of the so-called definitions of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. If you don't like the response you're getting, then try something other than the same old song and dance!
Steemit, and life for that matter, is all about investing your time wisely. The post rewards and upvote might seem like it's free money, but it's not. You are investing your most precious commodity...time. Something we all have the same amount of everyday regardless of dollar value in the bank or in your steemit wallet.
Steemit is a level playing field on that front... Yes some might have more disposable income allowing them to buy STEEM to increase their SP or they've been here since the beginning and became whales with ease, but don't be jealous, instead know that you can get there too, you just might have to work harder.
In the end, I think Steemit is supposed to be fun and educational, it just has the bonus of being a potential form of income also... But only if you do the work!
