I was able to get by the LCS (Local Coin Shop) to see if I could get some medicine my STACKITIS Flared UP a little bit over the past few days, the Shop I went to I had not been to in about a year...................Here is the Parking lot in the back of the shop......................Nice Blue Sky day in Arizona today.........
The Shop Owner a Really Nice old Proprietor named Steve greeted me at the Front Door of his shop...............I like this place because it is tucked away and unless you have been there before you might have a tough time finding it..............
When I went into the Shop, Steve was helping another customer who was selling a coin collection...........
Now I did not know this at the time while I was watching Steve help his Customer but the gentleman who was selling his coins that I was standing next to was 103 YEARS OLD !!!...............................
Steve told me after the customer left that he was a World War II Veteran and had fought in The Battle of The Bulge.............
As many young people may not know this was The Largest and Bloodiest Battle fought by the U.S. during World War II.
This Battle was 40 Days Long and it involved 610,000 Americans, 72,000 French, and 55,000 British Fighting along Europe's Western Front. During this Battle there were 89,000 American Casualties and over 100,000 German Casualties.........
If you look into the History of World War II and the Battle of The Bulge then of course you will know how this General Pictured below fit into this Battle...................
George S. Patton, Jr.
Well Needless to say and I don't want to make this a dissertation on World War II, I was around a living Human Being in 2018 who is 103 Years Old. No matter how you feel about War this Man lived and saw much more than many of us probably ever will..........................
Now let's get back to the reason I was at the LCS and that was to see if there was anything I could purchase to help with my Stackitis.........................
Here is one of the Items I purchased from 1991, It was a One Oz. Silver Round commemorating The 200th Anniversary of The Bill of Rights. It comes in a Maroon Velvet Box with COA honored by The Chrysler Corporation............................
The Silver Round Obverse and Reverse................
Velvet Box and the COA..................
Neat Silver Round done by The Liberty Mint.....................
Then I also got a Silver Round I have not seen before from Rico, Colorado for The Rico Argentine Mining Co. just another gorgeous Vintage piece of Silver as you can see in the Pictures................
The Reverse being The Liberty Bell and the 200th Anniversary of The American Revolution......
By this time my STAKITIS is in Remission but I have one more Silver Round to show the will allow me to sleep peacefully through the Night with no Flare UP's...................
This Silver Round also has The Liberty Bell Reverse like The Rico, Colorado Round........................
Another thing I really Like with Both of These Vintage Rounds is that they were Struck in a Very High Relief for a Private Mint product..................Maybe you will be able to tell in this picture....................
Well that was my adventures and acquisitions for today. All I can hope for is another day or two of no Flare Up's of the STACKITIS...............................
