Howdy folks, I'm posting from palnet.io tonight as Steemit is a hot mess after the update. To be fair the folks that actually work at/for Steemit.com must be shitting themselves right now, wondering what's going to happen to their job.
I've worked at a company that was bought by another and the feeling was not good. On the outside they were very rah rah, go team, opportunity, blah blah blah. Meanwhile the new company cleared out (fired) all the managers, from top to bottom, it's was not a nice place to be after that.
Just like everyone here I have no idea what the new owner of Steemit has in store for that site and all his STEEM but I do know one thing, Justin Sun is a businessman plain and simple and I expect nothing less than cutthroat business out of him. I don't believe he cares at all about any of the steem users like you or me or anyone here, actually.
I guess you could say that is a pessimistic view but I prefer to think of it as realism. There are times to dream and be optimistic but I do not feel this is one of them so for now I am going to stick to steem front end sites like palnet and steemleo.
I went on a nice hike today around and up top of Horsethief Butte.
That path around the butte is about a mile and a half and I also ascended the butte and took some photos of a hand poured five ouce silver round.
If you look closely at this next shot you can see Mt Hood in the blurry background just above the silver.
OK, here is the mountain in focus.
I was up top of the butte on the east end marked with a flag here when I took these pictures.
That's Horsethief Lake on the right there, then some train tracks with the Columbia River on the other side.
All in all it was a pleasant Saturday and I hope yours was too.
