Hi friends,
I snapped! Even though thereโs been trades coming in and some MR3 stragglers last week, i still hadnโt hit up my lcs yet this year โ before today that is ๐ โ and iโve been jonesing.
First, i ogled over the primo ๐คฉ๐๐ณ๐๐
(Yo, , are any of these Eโs extra rare?)
But i knew my broke ass wasnโt gonnaโ pull any big levers... then my buddy P said he had something for me ๐๐คฉ๐
A tube of โ67 Canadian Cougars!
I bought 36/40 of them โcause 4 of โem were pretty crappy and deffo not BU. I was pretty happy to get them at $11 per face dollar too.
๐๐
36x25 = 900 pennies โ 9 x $11.00 = $99 โ So $99 for the (slightly short) stack. Now this year of Lynx Centennial quarters comes in both 50% and 80% silver โ which is pretty shady if you ask me. Pre โ67 Cad is all 80% Ag, but these ones looked like the real deal to me. I think at worst, i may have got $1 in 50%ers.
Here, check it out:
The two quarters on the left (at the bottom) look almost proof, whereas the two on the right have a pearly lustre like all the other ones above them, (except, maybe, for second column from left, 3rd coin down โ pinch and zoom.) Fak, i donโt know... but there are only the 3 that look even brighter than all the rest and more like contemporary quarters. The whorls and swirls on most of these babies are mesmerizing. And it may be hard to see from photos, but all of these coins are BU! and in very good shape โ so at $2.75 each and in/out for less than a hunski, i figured it was a good buy โ and boy, did it do wonders for my stackitus too!
Call me a pervert but the BU coins from 50+ years ago give my eyeballs eggplants! And these ones almost look like individual piecs of jewelry to me. Surely a treasure to be valued. Hereโs a close up of the Lynx.
Stack that shit up! Itโs all on sale ๐๐๐
Cheers! from
