I don't even know where to start. You may have seen my posts on here about any number of random things, you may even have saw me on discord lurking around. Today I'll do something I don't do often, share info about myself.
Months ago was encouraging people to introduce themselves. I planned on participating but then the sun came out, summer started and I was off and adventuring.
About Me
I'm just your typical guy. Been in the Telecommunications industry for 20yrs. I didn't choose the industry, it chose me. I had no formal training and have learned everything hands on. No I don't sell phones, no I can't get you a deal on phones. I work in the main office called the Switch. Much like the old switchboard operators but this is the new digital version. We turn your voice from sound to 1's and 0's. Funny thing is I hate technology and would probably do fine as an Amish person.
Besides my regular job I have a small business, hence my name on here. I buy and sell everything from Comics to Condos. It's normal for me to have a dozen vehicles at any given time. I don't like keeping my money in the banks so I keep them in liquid assets. Need some extra cash, sell a vehicle or 2. Auctions are where I find most of my deals. I never pay over half of retail and usually make a decent profit. $2000-$5000 vehicles sell fast around here, especially 4wd trucks.
I've been with my better half for just over 10yrs. Her 3 kids accepted me and we've been a happy little family since. The oldest is now 25 and is making my a grandpa shortly. :) The middle one is 20 and the youngest is a senior at 18yrs old. The youngest is the only one left in the house and he only has a few more months of school left. Then it's party time. He will be off to college and we can start traveling.
Guess I could talk a little bit about stacking. I started "collecting" coins at a young age with my grandfather. I still have his old coins books (probably why all mine end up in books) and other coins he collected. Around 2000-2001 I read Robert Kiyosaki's book and that started my current financial journey and silver stacking. I still follow him and many others closely for investing advice. It took years to wrap my head around how money works, but now it works for me. And hopefully I will be able to retire in the next few years. By retire I mean not being stuck in the rat race and letting my money work for me. My motto is "A mans wealth is measured by how much free time he has to do what he enjoys".
Not sure what else to talk about. If you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments. Oh and here is something else I never do. A selfie of us for your viewing pleasure. This may be the only one you ever see, so enjoy it. It was really bright out, so excuse the squinty eyes.
Proud member of . Finally introducing myself.
