Hi everyone. I feel as though I've been letting you all down. I understand that steemit is a social network site used for blogging, so I guess it's time I started to blog that little bit more. As it says in the title I've promised myself that I would share that little bit more. So I'm hoping to at least blog once a day for a week. So here goes.
After having a look through my small stack, I've noticed that most of my stack has an animal design to it. So this next week will be dedicated to all the different types I have. First of all I will start with my Beatrix Potter, 150th anniversary year, Peter rabbit coin.
The coin itself is 0.925 sterling silver and weighs 8g. There were only 16,000 limited edition presentation minted and I got number 12,760 so nothing special. The coin is a 50pence coin(face value) and is 27.30mm in diameter.
When I bought the coin directly from the Royal mint it was the first in the series to mark the 150th anniversary of Beatrix Potter and so demand was through the roof. I paid £55 Inc p&p and as of 14/08/17 they are going for around the £350/400 price range on eBay. So I've done OK there.
