In news that might come as no surprise to true NBA followers, the “King” himself, LeBron James has just surpassed legendary NBA Star Kobe Bryant as the youngest player in the NBA to attain 30,000 regular points in a season. To achieve the milestone record, LeBron James, the Cleveland Cavaliers player required just eight points, but in his usual consistent fashion, he managed to produce 28 points as his side lost against San Antonio Spurs, 114–102.
The ex-Los Angeles Lakers start, *Kobe Bryant* reach the milestone at **34 years and 104 days**. But LeBron James beat that record by reaching 30,000 regular-season points, at **33 years and 24 days**.

Asides Kobe Bryant and the recent LeBron James, only five other NBA players have ever reached the 30,000 regular-season points tally. The other elite players include;
1.) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
2.) Karl Malone
3.) Michael Jordan
4.) Wilt Chamberlain
5.) Dirk Nowitzki
Dallas Mavericks Dirk Nowitzki who has 30,808 regular-season points, congratulated James in a message that read; "Congrats #KingJames. Welcome to the club!"
In a reaction to his personal achievement, LeBron James said: "The moment was unbelievable."
"The journey is something that I've been on for quite a while now and I will never take it for granted. It's unbelievable to be able to share something like that with my crazy team-mates. Let's keep this thing going and strive for greatness."
James now hopes to achieve more landmark records. The former Miami Heat star is also hoping to catch up and probably eclipse Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s career point’s record total of 38,387.
