The Syracuse Orange have a great shot to impress the NCAA Tournament Committee when they play against the North Carolina Tar Heels. The game tips off at 8pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on ESPN2. The game is being played at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. North Carolina is favored by 7.5 points and the over/under is 140.5.
The 12th ranked North Carolina Tar Heels are coming off of a tough loss on Saturday to the Duke Blue Devils 74-64. Joel Berry II was absolutely terrible and went 0-7 from the 3 point line and finished with only 6 points. It is imperative that Berry shoots the ball well tonight against the Orange 2-3 zone or it will be a long and frustrating night for UNC. Rebounding will also play a big factor in this match-up. Maye and Pinson need to clean up on the boards.
The Syracuse Orange are coming off of a nice win on Tuesday when they beat Wake Forest 73-64 to advance to today’s round. Marek Dolezaj led the way with 20 points. Tyus Battle added 18 points and all five starters scored in double figures. But a huge concern for the Orange is their bench. They had ZERO bench points on Tuesday and their lack of depth is a definite concern. And with Syracuse on the bubble, this is a very important game.
