The Golden State Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans will face off tonight in the 2018 Western Conference Playoffs in the NBA. Tip off is set for 7pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on ESPN. It will take place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Warriors have a 2-0 series lead and are favored by 5 points with an over/under at 233 points.
Steph Curry was back in action for the first time in months in game for the Warriors and he looked like he hadn’t missed a beat. His shot was looking fantastic and Curry had a monster game. Head coach Steve Kerr chose to bring Curry in off of the bench and made an immediate impact and swished his first of 5 bombs from beyond the 3 point arc. Kevin Durant was also sensational and the Warriors looked unbeatable.
The New Orleans Pelicans are happy to be home after losing their first two games on the road. Their crowd will be fired up and this best of 7 game series is far from over. Anthony Davis has played well but needs more help. Point guard Rajon Rondo will try to facilitate the offense tonight and Jrue Holiday will be very aggressive as he is the team’s second leading scorer. Nikola Mirotic will need to catch fire from deep to help the Pelicans keep pace with the high powered Warriors offense.
Tonight’s over/under at 233 points is one of the biggest in decades in an NBA Playoff game. The experts are predicting a shootout and it should be an incredible game to watch. I think that the Pelicans home crowd can push them to getting their first win of the series.
