I once came across a story of two chimpanzees that were unfortunate to be shut out of their primary shelter during a tremendous rainfall. Standing soaked in the rain, feeling cold and shivering all over the place. Fortunately for them, a man walked by and was kind enough to open their rainstorm-closed shelter for them. Amazingly, instead of rushing to feel the coziness of a shelter after being dead-beaten by the rain, they stood outside long enough to give their benefactor a hug as a show of gratitude.
I joined this platform exactly two months and seven days ago. Sometimes, it is fine to take a pause into the future, rewind back a bit and take a panoramic view of the things of the past. I could have been frustrated out of this platform but for the overwhelming support that I have been getting from people that only know me virtually. In a world full of cruel people, the esteemed world is mostly about kind people. Therefore, this post is about few words of gratitude for those that have played significant roles in my journey so far, in no particular order.
Kindness knows no geography, race, ethnicity, nationality or even familiarity. showed me a kindness I have never received before if it were to be quantified in terms of money. A steemSTEM member and a Doctor, we have barely had few words together in one of the esteemed.chat channels when he displayed what his heart is made of.
A forerunner in the #ocd-project. I was a few days old, a bit reckless and naive on here when he showed me his beautiful side. Of more significance is his kindness because it came in a time of troubles. Big thanks to the OCD man. I implore you readers to chip-in a vote for the OCD-witness.
I know I can be a pain in the butt when it comes to asking questions. It is simply because I am always eager to learn. Whatever I become on steemit, now or in future, success has played a big role. I remember vividly how I use to disturb her to check my every post simply because I felt she is the standard to follow when it comes to writing STEM-related posts (strictly my opinion). I got into her mentorship project as a mentee and learned in a week what I could not learn in two months. I use to think she is a bit on the strict side, well I have not changed my mind. The only thing is that she is strict in a rather sweet way. I am not even tripping.
@steemSTEM
I was more of a wanderer in the esteemed-sphere until I discovered one of the best communities in steemSTEM. Ever since I have never felt better at home. I have learned a lot through reading, improved my own writing and earned lots of rewards for my efforts. I did not think twice when I was called upon to assist the community through the creation of a sub-community, . Are you a scientist or have the passion for science posts? Feel free to interact with people of like minds in steemSTEM channel on steemit.chat or our discord server.
Well, I could go on and on writing one or two things about people that have shown me kindness. I cannot even keep track of those that have supported me through resteems, upvotes and comments on my posts. I will just make a little list. If I miss out your name, please kindly forgive me in advance, I have a short memory :).
