these are my understanding about the internal combustion.
The internal combustion is used in motorcycles, automobile, boats, trucks, aircrafts, ships and power generators. A 4 stroke engine is in internal combustion engine and which the piston can complete 4 seperate strokes
- intake
- compression
- power
- exhaust
During two separates revolution of the engine crankshaft and one single thermal dynamic cycle
These are the basic internal parts of a four stroke engine:
Crankshaft
Piston rod
Piston
Camshaft

Inside the engine block there's a crankshaft, piston rod are attach to crankshaft, piston are attach to the piston rods. As the crankshafts turns . It causes the lifter to make each pistons to move up and down. At the top of the crankshaft there's a camshaft which is connected to the crankshaft by timing belt. While the crankshaft is making the piston to move up and down the camshaft is turning making the valves open and close .
Let's take a look on how the combustion creates piston motion;
1st intake stroke, the inlet valve is open and the air fuel mixture come's in as the piston travels down
2nd compression stroke, the inlet valve is close and the piston back up the cylinder compressing the air fuel mixture when the piston reaches the compression stroke. the sparkplug emits a spark to combust the air fuel mixture.
3rd the combustion stroke, the cycle of an internal-combustion engine in which the gases are compressed before firing
4th exhaust stroke, the exhaust valve is open and the piston travelled back up removing the exhaust gases through the exhaust. At the top of the stroke the exhaust valve is close. This process is repeated what have been presented the cycle of operation in one cylinder of four stroke engine.
I think thats it. Feel free to ask, just comment below . And i will try my very best to answer 😁😁
