A visit to Brussels always sends a reminder of a landmark conference in the history of science.
The 5th Solvay conference, 23-27 October, 1927 was held in Brussels.
Most of the brightest scientists the world had ever known gathered in one meeting.
It was a gathering with the highest IQ summation ever known. 17 of 29 of them were or became Nobel laureates. Albert Einstein was one of the rising stars of this conference.
