The government hospital set me up for an appointment to see a Professional Dietitian. I met Dr. Hani from Klinik Luyang Hospital in Kota Kinabalu.
My appointment was on Feb 19, 2019 (Tuesday) morning at 10.30am.
At first, Dr. Hani interviewed me about:
- My diabetes problem - how I suspected that I had the symptoms of diabetes.
- My body measurement and Body Mass Index (BMI).
- My daily intakes of food and beverages.
Secondly, she gave me a thoughtful evaluation:
- Based on blood tests and health records, I am diabetic. Of course, that's why referred to her.
- I am overweight as my BMI was high.
- I have been taking foods wrongly.
At last, recommendations that she advised me to change:
- Take the medical prescriptions as Dr. Azizan gave.
- Exercise every day preferably 30 mins at least or more. Plus weight training a bit.
- Take food considerably in the mode of Quarter-Quarter-Half. On one plate, Half is referred to vegetables.
Here's the start of my VEGETABLES preparation.
Sicilienne the carrots, tear the greens, slice the cucumber and cube the tomatoes.
Without any dressing, store on fridge.
Ready to eat any time. Dressing preferred are non-mayo based. I used the Pineapple Lime dressing bought in supermarket.
That's all for my report on Vegetables Salad. For more information, please do read my Danger of Diabetes #1: Research and Suspect
