Rocha dos Namorados translates from Portuguese to English as Lover's Rock. The rock is located near Sao Pedro do Corval (Pottery Village) and Monsaraz in Portugal. This site is often missed due to its obscurity. Not many know this rock is here and the ritual behind it. The rock is shaped like a mushroom, but also like a womb. It is common for the local single girls/women to come here and throw a rock/stone backwards behind their left shoulder with their left hand. The amount of attempts it takes to land a rock on the top and stay on, is the amount of years it will take them to get married. Do you believe in this or like to leave fate to decide?
