This will be the pad abort test for the Boeing built crew capsule Starliner.
This capsule is similar to SpaceX's Dragon 2 designed to ferry astronauts to the ISS under the Commercial Crew Program.
The Dragon 2 suffered an explosion during a similar pad abort test earlier this year.
The test window lasts 3 hours.
