Everybody is scared of GMOs, but they are already “produced”. Biotech has long been used in agriculture. Thank you for explaining this topic! Something you could have mentioned is the design of natural products. At the Weizmann Institute in Israel are some scientists that edited tobacco plants to produce a special type of cellulose. They’re also working on crossing cellulose and a protein from crickets to design a “super material”. It’s crazy how far we’ve come from selecting grass which produces big corn in Mesopotamia.
