In April of 2013, Juan Ramon Fernandez (and his associate Fernando Pimentel), described by police in Canada as “a perfect gangster,” died the perfect Hollywood gangster death – ambushed by mob rivals, dying in a hail of bullets and his body burned in a field in the picturesque countryside outside Palermo, the historic capital city of Sicily.
Juan Ramon Fernandez, also known as Joe Bravo, was a daunting mobster in Toronto and Montreal who moved to Sicily when he was deported from Canada.
His relocation did not go well. First, police in Italy launched an intensive and invasive probe that had Fernandez under deep surveillance. Then he was caught in the middle of a deadly Mafia war in Canada, mafiosi in Sicily carried out an execution order.
Montreal is not Sicily, it's impossible to walk between sharks and try to impose yourself! You will be eaten!
