La Moelu lives with his father who is unable to work. His job is fishing in the river. One day, he gets a weird little fish. The father also told La Moelu to keep the fish. The boy then put the fish in a glass. The next day, La Moelu was surprised that the fish was as big as a glass. Father told him to move it into a big jar. However, the fish becomes as big as a jar.
La Moelu immediately put it to a larger place, but after a day later the container would not fit anymore.
"Better take him out to sea," Dad said. "Well, well," La Moelu replied sadly.
La Moelu named the fish Jinnade Teremombonga. He told the fish to come to the waterfront if La Moelu called the name of the fish so he could feed it. Every day, La Moelu feeds the Jinnade.
One morning, the three La Moelu neighbors summoned the Jinnade. Hearing the call, Jinnade immediately appeared. However, Jinnade was speared by the three men to death, then cooked. Afterwards, they told La Moelu about what had happened. Sad heart of He Moelu. He picked up the Jinnade bone and buried it in his yard.
Gold-trunked trees, silver-leaved, diamond-flowering, and fruiting diamonds, grow on top of Jinnade's graves. La Moelu also sells twigs, fruit, leaves, and flowers of the tree. Although rich, he is not arrogant. He remains kind and helps his neighbors. La Moelu was still affectionate to his father.
