Two people wandered together through a dense forest. It was then suddenly a very large bear came out of the bushes near them.
One of the travelers, just thinking about his safety and ignoring his friend, climbed into a tree close to him.
The other nomad, feeling unable to fight the enormous bear alone, threw himself to the ground and lay quietly, as if he had died. He often heard that bears would not touch animals or people who had died.
His friend who was in the tree did nothing to help his lying friend. Whether this was true or not, the bear was sniffing for a moment near his head, and it seemed satisfied that his victim had died, the bear even walked away.
The nomadist who sits on a tree then descends from his hideaway.
"It looks as though the bear is whispering something in your ear," he said. "What did the bear say"
"The bear said," said the wandering traveler, "It is not wise to walk together and befriend someone who is ignorant of his friend who is in danger."
