To be honest, i am tired of the rat race
Even though i have the tendency to be a ‘closed’ person, i’m pouring my heart out here, because i know barely anybody reads my posts here anyway. But i still try, because the point that i make is important. So, bear with me!
Beside my #introduceyourself post, (which made almost an amazing $10) my posts dont have much reach on this platform.
And i’m sure that while the Steemit platform gets more popularity, the harder it will get for us humans to get a decent rating and reach some real people that will read our stories, instead of paid #bots.
People say the best way to get ‘reach’ and ‘grow’ on #Steemit is for us steemians to post everyday, but to be honest, i don’t have everyday something to say, or decent, informative story to tell.
I would dislike myself if i would be posting bullshit stories and other clickbait to get some reach. But theres a catch, to get your content, story or whatever ‘out there’, in this already over saturated market, most of us creators do need to produce decent content on a daily basis.
And unfortunately not all of us are blessed to be great journalists or suberb writers, and that’s why (imho) the platforms gets cluttered up with useless posts and other garbage and nonsense that is out there.
So think about this, . . . to reach an audience, we need to promote these posts with paid bots to get reach. And we need to pay these bots in steem or sbd, which we need to buy on the open market exchanges.
Like this steemit as a currency is a self fulfilling prophecy, an automated money machine.
I actually tried these bots a couple of times, but i untill now, do not have the idea that it is really working. I’ll probably try it again on this post, just to get the statistics right.
As someone who writes his own independent music, i know there are many artist out there that pay a ‘service’ provider for their plays, comments, like, reshares etc.
This actually happens on all the platforms like #youtube, #soundcloud, #facebook and #spotify.
They pay to play, and play to pay.
The return on investment is close to zero, and nobody is really listening to, liking or sharing your content, because these actions all happen on clickfarms.
A couple of years ago they even caught facebook red handed with their advertisement clicks, these also came from the clickfarms.
So Actually, nobody gives a fuck. I figured that out a long time ago.
But Nowadays, in the #blockchain & #cryptocurrency economy, things are no different.
We came as early adopters and as content creators on steemit, and nowadays we pay the bots to resteem our content.
It’s Pay to play, Play to Pay it’s all the same as it ever was. A zero sum game in reverse
It’s the rat race of life ... we are all hamsters in a wheel, spinning. Busy with our daily lifes, our social media and all other bullshit.
We are going to jobs we don’t like, to buy clothes, cars an other things we don’t need, to go to that same fukkin job that we do not like, and that is how most of us spend our precious time on this earth.
I really hoped, when i watched the many developments around blockchain, there would be a glimst of hope & light. The incentive to fight this whole rat race system that is poisoning us ... but to be honest ... i think we already lost.
The wealth has shifted, but nothing has changed, maybe the recent developments around bitcoin cash and the current #whale hash #wars are a perfect example of that .... because they don’t fukkin care ....
It’s still a big club, and we ain’t in it.
Time Will Tell, untill then ...
