There’s nothing in our everyday lives quite as mysterious as dreams. I feel a pang of sympathy for those who don’t dream or can’t remember them. My own dreams have always been vivid and, often, conscious—by which I mean I am fully aware, with an active internal thought process, navigating the dreamscape as if it were real. For years, I assumed everyone experienced dreams this way, only to learn that this kind of lucid dreaming isn’t universal.
Some of my dreams have even seemed prophetic, offering glimpses of future events that later unfolded in real life. I remember one in particular from the early nineties: I dreamt of walking through the lobby of an office building, passing a security desk. Years later, after I’d moved to Minnesota in 1995 and begun working at a local insurance company, I walked through their lobby and was struck by déjà vu. The lobby matched my dream down to the smallest detail, as if I’d already been there.
Dreams, as I see it, are often metaphorical, each one a riddle waiting to be interpreted. Some dreams reveal their meaning with ease, while others remain mysterious, leaving us to wonder what inner spark ignited them.
Just the other night, I had a particularly complex and vivid dream—one that was as fascinating as it was unsettling. It began with a breathtaking view of Earth from space. I watched the planet rotate, its major cities sparkling like constellations against the blackness of space. Then, a strange wave of understanding washed over me, as though all the secrets of Earth were being poured directly into my mind.
Here’s where it takes an unsettling turn.
The insight I received was that Earth is a kind of prison for souls. Each soul, I learned, has free will, a path to freedom, yet there are forces—interdimensional beings, perhaps—intent on trapping us. They try to lure us down darker paths, ones that keep us tied to this plane, reincarnating repeatedly. These beings, by persuading us to stray, somehow grow “richer” or more powerful, feeding off the energy of trapped souls. Moments before the dream ended I realized each of us, like magic, can escape our prison cell instantly at any time by merely shifting our thoughts and our actions.
When I woke up the next morning, I was both shaken and slightly more optimistic. Unlike most dreams that fade with the first light, this one stayed, etched vividly in my mind. As I reflected, I couldn’t help but think about some of the disturbing realities coming to light: the stories of Diddy’s infamous parties, the Epstein scandals, rampant corporate/political corruption, and how so many in the entertainment world claim they’ve had to compromise their morals to reach the uppermost echelons of fame and fortune. The more I thought about it, the more this “prison planet” concept resonated with ideas of heaven and hell, as if our actions here bind or free us in some grand cosmic way. This dream reminded me of some of the more subtle elements of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

Whether the dream held any real truth or not, it left me with a lot to think about. I believe humanity is in the throes of a monumental paradigm shift, a turbulent transition from the old to the new. All around us, deeply hidden truths are surfacing, bringing chaos but also the potential for unprecedented change. Perhaps on the other side of this chaos, corruption and confusion, a golden age awaits—one where light finally overcomes the shadowy forces that have lingered so long.
I believe we’re on the cusp of something truly extraordinary—a collective awakening, a turning point where humanity steps off the dark path we’ve been treading for too long. I hold onto the hope that, one day, when we emerge from this transitory age, I’ll look back on this dream and feel that profound, familiar sensation of déjà vu, knowing we’ve arrived at the future it once foreshadowed.
Have you ever had a dream so extraordinary that changed you?
Be well and make the most of this day. Thank you for reading!
