Well, this is one milestone I’ve been trying to attain for some time now. And yesterday was the chosen day it would seem. I opened my Steemit blog page as per usual and after a few seconds, saw what I was meant to see.
Now, I've been on this awesome platform for almost as long as I can remember now, lol. And of course I realise many Steemians out there are way ahead of me as far as this significant figure is concerned. But regarding my own journey, I consider 5,000 followers a monumental personal achievement, coming from someone who'd never posted a thing in his life previously. That's right, no Instagram or Facebook. Unbelievable, right? Which leads me to the biggest shout-out you can imagine to each and every one of you who was gracious enough to "click" that follow button and add me to your honourable roster of worthy content creators. Thank you so much, my fellow Steemian friends. You've no idea how much that means to me. Bless you all.
So, obviously at this point in time, the next huge landmark target to strive toward would be 10,000. However, with enough determination and drive, I believe I can make it some day. Primarily, I've been a writer here on Steemit and intend to return to my "native lands" very soon now. I had started a few projects in the past. Three, in fact, that are in urgent need of being finished up and which is something I am getting more and more focused upon doing.
Tonight is gonna be a busy one for me though. I'm leaving for a trip to Croatia for the next ten days. And lord knows, I damn well need a holiday. The sun, sea and fresh air of a new, beautiful setting will rejuvenate even the most tired of cells within my body. However, the flight is an early one. Around 7am or thereabouts, so sleep will most definitely be out of the question. I've never had the pleasure to visit this particular part of Europe so am feeling pretty charged up and raring to go.
And also on a final mention, I'm looking forward to collaborating with the awesome after his win at being the first "boss" in
's ever-so-popular Steemmonsters. He was kind enough to select me as the writer to pen the outline history of his new character. So, much appreciation and humbling respect ushered his way for thentrusting me with that task. I won't let you down. And as I added before, it also seems to have had the welcoming effect of kick starting a whole new slew of motivations as well as new original ideas to pursue regarding my own personal story writings too. Much to look forward to on a few fronts them. Life is good. No, scratch that.
Life is great.
