The humiliation of a person is generally intended to make the humiliated person feel ashamed. Insulting is a way of not showing good 'power' yourself than others.
What is it about being able to make an insult, is someone more everything than the one he insults?

They are easy to catapult insults to others who are considered not as level, class, or whatever his name, really worthy of pity
