Let me clarify what l actually mean. l am not saying
we as adults should all of a sudden revert back to afternoon
naps and cookie time, or having bedtime stories read to us.
Having someone else solve our problems we create. Even
though l have relatives that act and think that way.
Toddlers no nothing of hate, jealousy, backstabbing
gossip, being judgemental. Each day brings wonder and
curiosity. They seek new experiences with excitement
and joy a lot more often than some adults.
They don’t worry about being in a certain group, the status
quo. How they should impress you by lies. I have worked
and been to social gatherings with people who put on a façade.
It didn’t fool me. Like my father used to say ( l am hockey proof )
which was another way of saying BS doesn’t get past me.
He was often artistic and creative with his words.
To look at the world through their eyesight is such a
amazing thing. Noticing the brilliant colors of a rainbow
after the storm. How they feel no restrictions when they
paint or draw. It’s about the fun not perfection, being
loose and free is what they seek.
My heart pounds with pure joy when l do a collaboration of
stunning eye catching colors. If creating hues and highlights for
my paintings while capturing just a glimpse of the kid in me
is wrong than l don’t want to be right.
So here l go on my way to wonder and surprise from a child’s
point of view.
MAKE SURE YOU FIND TIME TO LAUGH! ITS VERY IMPORTANT.
