Black: what is black?

Black:
With "black Friday" being flogged to great fanfare I'd just point out that words are used with specificity in their determined and intended meaning.
I consider black is a colour too a void and beyond my fancy penguine costume little of the cloths I wear are black. The dictionary backs up my trepidation.
