It was the first year, in the fall. The very beginning of student life, a hostel and new friends. I got used to it pretty quickly, already on the first evening with the girls and the duties of the room were distributed, and I understood who was closest to the spirit. With Zhenya we became friends immediately - the characters were similar. So it turned out that Anya and Toma - the other two girls - were somehow out of the way, and Zhenya and I (who were two years older than me) did not become friends with the water.
Somehow after classes they returned to the hostel. Right before the last crossing the traffic light broke, and the cars stood on the road in a big traffic jam. Zhenya and I did not notice the dirty trick and stood at the crossing to wait for our "green".
It was hot, the sun was so hot. We stand, then, about five minutes, talking, do not watch for a while. And then the driver of one of their cars opens the window and asks:
- Girls, do not you want to buy makeup?
It turned out that his sister worked as a distributor of cosmetics Avon, and forgot in his car catalog. The situation was quite comical. The cars are signaling, the pedestrians are crowded, waiting for the green, the most arrogant, of course, switched and so, maneuvering between the cars, and we stood and discussed with an unfamiliar guy nail polish and styling aids.
Zhenya was a smart girl, fell asleep to the poor guy with questions, the answer to which he, of course, did not know, because in cosmetics he understood just as I did in engine oil.
Asked for his sister's phone number, recorded. The guy took from us a promise that we would call and necessarily "order something".
A year later, Zhenya and this stranger (as it turned out - Victor) invited me to a wedding.
These are the unexpected twists of fate. You never know where you will meet your love - in line for bread or in a traffic jam.
