I was peacefully taking my nap in my room one afternoon, when i heard a loud noise from my sleep...i woke up suddenly in shock which resulted to an headache! Gosh what is it this time i stood up to confirm from my neighbour in my mind i was like
"Na wetin again sef hope say no be fire"
On getting outside i saw the children running here and there in exitement even the adults running here and there with big buckets....
Oh please whats all this i asked my neighbour and she was like, "you no see say nepa bring light"
Damn!!! I was so pissed, that was when i remembered all the appliances in my house was off that's why i did know power was the reason for the commotion and the people running with buckets are running down to go and fetch water... went back to my room and started thinking,
Yes we have not had power for days so?
Yes the weather is hot so?
Yes there is no water and so??
Yes every1 needs power to do things so??
Does it mean we should always constitute a nuisance when the light comes on???Why cant nigerians just grow up and stop getting exited about the power as if its a ticket to paradise. This thing is our right na we pay for it its not some free meal or free service please lets grow up.
And yes can someone please tell me where this UPNEPA!!! baldadash generated from even when nepa was changed to phcn this popular slang didnt get off peoples tongues... the funniest part is i have seen babies say upnepa as one of thier first words...chai anyways thats wah you get when you stay in a face me i slap you apartment.
Back to reality before the moving train leaves me i also ran out pick up my buckets to go get my own water too and ofcourse plugged my phone cus my battery was flat that was what led to my sleep that was interrupted.
And in my mind i was like abeg make una never take am ooo.
