When Lord Buddha was counting his last breath on the death bed, he called his disciple Anand. Buddha had taken his last meal. He received this food as a gift from a blacksmith named Kunda. After the meal, his condition became serious. Buddha instructed his disciple Anand to explain to the swivel that he has not made any mistake.
He said that this food is incomparable. Then the voice of someone's crying was heard from nearby. Gautam Buddha asked Anand, who was sitting near him, 'Anand, who is crying?'
Anand said, 'Bhante, Bhadrak has come for your last glimpse.'
Buddha said, 'Then call him to me.' Bhadrak started crying after coming to Buddha. He said, 'If you do not stay then who will show us the light of knowledge.'
Buddha said to Bhadrak, 'Bhadrak, the light is in you, there is no need to find out. Those who are ignorant, try to find it while wandering in the temples, pilgrims, caves or caves. They are finally frustrated at all. On the contrary, by continuing to be devoted to the mind, speech and action, those who are constantly engaged in meditation, their conscience gets engrossed. So Bhadrak 'App Deepo Bhava' means that you should be the lamp itself. This is my life philosophy. I've been promoting this for lifetime.
Listening to this last sermon of Lord Buddha, Bhadrak understood what he had to do to become his lamp himself. From that day onwards, mind, speech, devotion to karma, and made the mind of doing sadhana.
