The Government of India is responsible for ensuring the security of India and its part. The supreme command of the Indian Armed Forces is with the President of India. The Council of Ministers is responsible for the protection of the nation. It is discharged from the Ministry of Defense, which provides policy framework and information to the armed forces for discharging their liabilities in the context of protecting the country. There are three divisions in the Indian Armed Forces, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and many other independent and allied units such as:
Indian Border Security Force,
Assam Rifles,
National Rifles,
National Security Guard,
India Tibetan Border Police etc.
