I haven't had television for years, so if I watch any television programming, it's through netflix. I had heard of "breaking bad", but i never thought to watch it. The main reason being, that methamphetamine destroys lives. I live in an area where the meth head zombies roam.
I have friends who had serious problems with methamphetamine and I have a friend who is destroying her life with a meth addiction. Possibly losing her high paying job and losing her kids because of meth.
I know she had been a pill popper then she started dating an ex heroine addict, who soon started riding the dragon again. It's weird how she is always finding addicts, but that's how addicts are.
After her boyfriend got back on heroin heavy, she broke up with him because she was just a pill popper at the time. But as soon as she broke up with him, she started hanging with a group of rehabilitated addicts. I don't think rehabbing addicts should hang out with each other, but I see it everyday and its like playing with fire.
So my friend soon started doing heroin and methamphetamine no more than a few months of breaking up with a heroin addict. Soon her job was in jeopardy, so she immediately put herself into rehab so her job would be protected.
After she came out of rehab, she was relocated in her job and seemed to be a new and improved self. I hadn't seen her in person for months but i had noticed her loosing all kinds of weight on facebook post. I'm talking ridiculous weight...maybe 70 pounds or so. To imagine this woman's build: She has the biggest natural breasts I have ever seen and an ass the size of kansas. All this junk and a small waist, so you always had to take a second glance. Now she looks like she is 20 years older, and has lost all that sexy she used to have. She looks tired and worn out. It's that crazy methamphetamine!
So when it comes to "Breaking Bad", its a compelling story, but methamphetamine destroys lives everyday. And "breaking bad" seems to help the cause for meth manufacturing.
