Kennst du...
...die Minions? Diese kleinen, gelben Tic-Tacs mit Latzhosen? Ich habe sie geliebt, als sie das erste mal auf der Leinwand erschienen und das habe ich auch allen erzählt. Und jetzt kommts: erzähle niemals irgendwelchen Verwandten oder Freunden, dass du eine bestimmte Sache besonders gerne hast, denn die Leute merken sich das und schenken dir allerhand Krams. In meinem Fall habe ich dann die nächsten Geburtstage immer wieder Minionsachen geschenkt bekommen. So wurde ich Besitzer einer Minion-Wärmflasche, Minion-Hausschuhen, einem Minion-Puzzle, einem Minion USB-Stick, mehreren Minion-Shirts, einer Minion-Tasse UND Minion-Salz& Pfefferstreuern.
Meine anfängliche Euphorie war schnell dahin und ich kann euch sagen, es dauert lange bis es zu den Leuten durchsickert, dass ihr Minion-Kram nicht mehr haben mögt. Einer Freundin von mir geht es ähnlich mit Disney. Sie liebt die Filme. Aber nun ist sie auch stolze Besitzerin eines Mikeymouse-Waffeleisen und diversen Plüschtieren und Tassen. Einer anderen Freundin geht es so mit Star Wars.
Naja eine Sache ist mir geblieben und das ist das Puzzle. Das habe ich allerdings nicht selber gepuzzelt sondern die Disneyfreundin. Kennt ihr das? Was bekommt ihr immer wieder geschenkt und ihr könnt es nicht mehr sehn? :D

...the Minions? Those little yellow Tic-Tacs with blue overalls? I loved them when I first saw them in the cinema and I also told that everybody. But listen: never ever tell any of your relatives or friends that you like a specific thing very much. Because the people will remind that and they'll give you lot's of gifts with this thing on it. In my case I got a lot of Minion-Stuff for the next birthdays. So i became owner of a Minion-hot-water bottle, Minion-slippers, a Minion-puzzle, a Minion-memory stick, several Minion-shirts, a Minion-cup and a Minion salt and pepper shaker.
My initial euphoria was gone fast and I can tell you: It takes long until the people notice, that you don't like Minion-Stuff any longer. A friend of mine has the same problem with disney. She loves the movies but now she is also a proud owner of a Mikeymouse-waffle iron, a lot of Disney-cuddle toys and cups. Another friend has the same situation with Star Wars merch.
However, the puzzle is the only thing I kept until now. Do you know such situations? What kind of merch do you receive as a gift which you don't like (any more)? :D
