Several weeks had passed and Princess Oma had completed her transitional ritual. She was not out of the fattening rule. King Apa summoned his daughter and informed her that she needed to be given out in the marriage. The full reason for the decision were not disclosed to her, but the princess accepted her fate all the same. She filled it was one of the things she needed to do as a princess although she pretty much loathed the fact that she was not going to marry for love, she never complained.
As soon as he heard the princess consent he sent works out that the hand of the princess was available for marriage. Potential suitors where welcomed. As much as she regretted the fact that she was being advertised like a cheap commodity she never complained.
For two markets days after the announcement was made no suitable came by. Princess Oma was somehow relieved that shestill had some time to live the life of a maidian. King Apa on the other hand was very worried. Could it be that the young man did not find my daughter attractive enough? Or are they scared that she too young to make a good wife, he wondered earnestly. He summoned the chief priest again to find out what was wrong. Are the gods against my decision? He asked.
"You worry too much, the chief priest said in laughter. What makes you think so that's your daughter our ever beautiful princess, it's not desired for marriage?"
Then why are they not forthcoming, no one has come to ask for her hand in marriage and the war between us and Ujala people is fast approaching. How we will prepere him for the battle if he does not show up on time?
" Your daughter is a very precious commodity one scarcely find in the market. Is it's not expected that whoever will ask for h is it's not expected that whoever will ask for har hand Will not prepare elaborately so as to please the royal family? The king sighted suddenly seeing reasons with with what the chief priest was saying, as you know people are not expecting her to get married any time soon. So since it happened to be so, it is only normal for them to take their time to put things to get her the chief priest elaborated.
After the King was convinced that there was nothing wrong, he dismissed the priest and began to pounder on the issue.
True to the words of the chief priest, suitors began to troop in after a few days. Princes from far and near, rich merchants a even well heard worriors came to seek her hand in marriage. But non appealed to princess Oma. Although she would have accepted anyone her father chose for her, she was more than happy when the chief priest did not approve any of them. Of all the suitors that came by, the chief priest found non of them worthy of the throne after the Kings demise. This even increased the Kings worry. Time was against them yet the worriors did not even know who was going to lead them into war. King Apa remained dejected, he summoned the chief priest again after after he rejected another suitor the day before.
"They will not stop coming like forever." The King said. " Different people from different villages with different occupation have come and gone yet non suitable? Who exactly are we looking for?" The King asked in a somber tone.
" I'm not the one who chooses and rejects, but the gods they have not seen anyone worthy yet" he replied.
