THE CONCLUSION OF THE ONE THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS
Then Sheherazade took her sister by the waist, and walked slowly with her, through the two rows of guests and in front of the two kings, towards the interior apartments. And she undressed her, prepared her and put her to bed and recommended to her what was to be recommended. Then she kissed her, crying, because it was the first time she was separated from her for one night. And Doniazade also cried, kissing her sister a lot. But, as they were to see each other in the morning, they took their grief patiently, and Sheherazade retired to her apartments.
And that night was, in joy, bliss and whiteness, for the two brothers and the two sisters, the continuation of the thousand and first night. And it became the date of a new era for the subjects of King Schahriar.
And when was the morning of this blessed night, and when the two brothers, on leaving the hammam, were again reunited with the two blessed sisters, and so all four were together, the vizier, father of Sheherazade and Doniazade, asked permission to enter, and was immediately introduced. And they both arose in his honor; and his two daughters came to kiss his hand. And he wished long life to his sons-in-law, and asked them for their orders for the day.
But they said to him: “O our father, we want you to have orders to give and never to receive. Therefore, by mutual agreement, we appoint you King of Samarkand Al-Ajam." And Schahzaman said, "Yes, for I have renounced royalty." And Schahriar said to his brother: "But it is on condition, O my brother, that you help me in the affairs of my kingdom, by agreeing to share with me the royalty, me governing one day, and you another day, each in turn." And Schahzaman gave his eldest brother the proper answer, saying: "I listen and I obey."
Then the two sisters threw themselves on the neck of the vizier, their father, who kissed them, and kissed Sheherazade's three children, and bade them all tender farewells. Then he left for his kingdom, at the head of a magnificent escort. And Allah wrote safety to him, and brought him safely to Samarkand Al-Ajam. And the people of Samarkand rejoiced at his coming. And he reigned over them in righteousness, and became a great king among kings. And that's it for him.
But as for King Schahriar, he hastened to bring the most skillful scribes of the Muslim countries, and the most renowned annalists, and ordered them to write down everything that had happened to him with his wife Sheherazade, from the beginning to the end, without omitting a single detail.
And they set to work, and wrote thus, in letters of gold, thirty volumes, not one more not one less. And they called this series of marvels and astonishments: The Book of the Thousand and One Nights.
Then, on the order of King Schahriar, they made a large number of faithful copies, which they distributed to the four corners of the empire, to serve as a teaching for generations.
As for the original manuscript, they deposited it in the gold cupboard of the reign, under the custody of the vizier of the treasury.
And King Schahriar and his wife Queen Sheherazade, this blessed, and King Schahzaman and his wife Doniazade, this charming, and the three little kings, children of Sheherazade, lived in delights and bliss and joys, for years and years, with days more admirable than before, and nights whiter than the face of days, until the arrival of the Separator of friends, the Destroyer of palaces and the Builder of tombs, the inexorable, the inevitable!
And such are the splendid stories called One Thousand and One Nights, with all that there is in them of extraordinary things, of teachings, of marvels, of prodigies, of astonishment, and of beauty.
But Allah is more knowledgeable. And only He can distinguish in all of this what is true and what is not true. He is the Omniscient!
Now, praise and glory, until the end of time, to Him which
Remains intangible in His eternity, which changes at will
The events, and feels no change, the Master of the

And prayer and peace and the most chosen of
