Some might call her shallow, but in that moment she felt like Mother Teresa and Gandhi wrapped in one altruistic bundle. She gave whatever money she could spare to help set him free.
Somewhat recently, many people donated money to help a man who happened to take a very good mug shot. That worries me because I don't think they cared about his innocence or guilt. And I don't think they would have put as much effort into helping someone they had MORE reason to believe was innocent but found less attractive. The random word was 'shallow' by the way.
