Hello Steemians,
It is Sunday afternoon now here in the Philippines time to have a small get together with family and friends. I cooked this favorite local street food we call banana-que and kamote-que. Kamote is sweet potato. Skewered just liked a barbecue hence their names although no barbecuing was done because these were deep fried in oil then glazed with brown sugar. The sesame seeds are added for garnish but by tradition this is not a part of the ingredient.
After having lunch I immediately cooked a batch for a late afternoon snack. My sister was in charge of the food we had for lunch and I was in charge of the snacks.
