Looking south along Singapore's New Bridge Street, from a pedestrian bridge in Chinatown, this photo shows the Chinese New Year decorations for the Year of the Horse, 2014.
Each year, for several weeks during the run-up to each Chinese New Year, this street is adorned with these large lantern figures of the relevant animal. At night, the figures are lit up from inside, making them glow brightly.
But even in the daytime, against the background of Singapore's intense, lush, and greener greenery (sic), these figures create a brilliant and beautiful image.
