I find as I grow older that I value things that bring peace to the soul more than anything else.
An hour spent sitting in some leafy glade is worth more than a month of work and stress. A good day out with my son rates higher than a wallet full of cash. Sitting at a harbour entrance watching the boats pass can ease the pain of life.
Everyone should have something that is not just enjoyable on the surface but speaks to them on a deeper level. Nature does it for me, music to a degree, family can, when they’re in the mood.
Whatever your things are value them and let them speak to you. Take the time to savour them. They will de-stress you, put life into perspective and could help you live a longer happier life.
