After clearing goes to magistrate court to clear my name from JPJ's blacklist database, the next step is to get the full settlement figure from the bank that I signed the hire purchase agreement from. In my case, it would be the Public Bank hire purchase department at Taman Maluri, Cheras.
Before coming in, I've called in the bank a day before to set an appointment. The staff told me to come at 12pm, then go to level of and straight away take a number from the QMS machine that is located at the right side of level 2 entrance.
When I arrived at the Public Bank Taman Maluri branch, there were around 10 people at level 2. At the QMS machine, there are 2 button, (i) for Hire Purchase (ii) Renewal of road tax, insurance, VOC. So I press the first option button at the QMS machine.
The number given was 1026, and the current number is 1021. Meaning just another 5 people before it is my turn to meet the officer in charge. However, the waiting for just one number is almost 10 to 15 minutes.
My number was called at around 12.45 PM, and I think it is just my luck, because by the time my number is called, and my business with the Public Bank officer is finished, the system at Public Bank was down. The system can only be resumed after 2pm.
After getting the full settlement amount, without delay I rush to meet the Carsome sales person that was waiting for me at level 1. I need to meet him to submit the full settlement letter and for him to pay the full settlement amount at the counter in Level 1.

According to Carsome sales person, there are a ready buyer for my car. Carsome has offer USD12k cash to purchase it from me. My full settlement with Public Bank was USD11.8k 😁
I don't know how much did Carsome sell to the buyer, and I really don't care. Since I will not be adding any money for the full settlement, I agree with the figure offered to me.
To be honest, I was feeling really sad when I'm signing the paperwork for change of ownership. This car was my second car and was the car that I bought using my first salary at my new workplace. My family really loved this car. Especially my youngest daughter.
This car was really reliable and has serve my family for eight years. Due to pandemic caused financial constraint, I have to let go of the car. It was heartbreaking....but it is for the good also...
Goodbye...and thank you old friend. You has serve me well. May you serve your new owner as good as you has serve me
