My name is Lansanah junior Marah and I am a 33 year old guy from Johannesburg South Africa, I have graduated with a Bachelor of commerce majoring in Electronic Commerce and Informatics. I am currently an IT Governance Officer at a Power Utility, assisting with Information Technology Continuity initiatives.
I’ve known about crypto since 2013, but only got serious about it in 2017. I used to mine bitcoin on my personal computer but the returns where very little so I abandoned bitcoin mining. In May 2017, tired of 9-5 grinding at work only to see my current economic situation getting worse, whilst seeing my friends travel all over the world, I decided to research block chain initiatives more seriously. I purchased an Antminer D9 and started mining bitcoin, after a couple of months I had joined a mining pool and tried to mine in a pool to yield more profits. I had a successful run in November 2017 and used the profit from mining to go see my longtime girlfriend in Belarus and travel to Amsterdam. I then used the remainder of my funds to invest in trading in Binance which has seen mixed results. I am still grateful to the blockchain technologies and trading platform which allowed me to make some 20X gains in verge cryptocurrency; I managed to turn 400 dollars in verge into a couple thousand dollars. My only regret is not investing more money at the time.
