I know I have to learn much yet about the platform. But this second time participating in my blog is exciting me, after seeing some little results.
One of the reasons why I was trying to come back since months ago was after I took an edx-course about Blockchain (Blockchain, understanding its uses and implications). Even tough I did not pay for the certification I got a different picture of the dynamism of a blockchain interaction.
Why I have decided to put some STEEM to the platform? I just see as similar process with the PoS (Proof os Stake) where you are allowed to 'mine' or 'validate' transactions. The mining power will depend on the quantity of coin you posses.
So, my feeling is that at Steemit, in addition to the opportunity to do a similar process of PoS, we as participants are pushed and motivated to participate writing or sharing any kind of material you produce as pictures, histories, poems, etc.
I think every one need to learn how to potentiate your participation, beginning by invest a little STEEMs and see what you can do with it. I found very useful 
Almost two years ago, I began earning my first satochis trough faucets. After time, I got tired to expend time doing catpchas and getting very low satochis. In addition, price of BTC got until we saw. Therefore faucets became very slowly process to earn some satochis or wherever coin you want to do.
Well, I hope to grow up myself in learning about this new kind of interaction through blockchain, which I am pretty sure is changing or lifes.
